"I’m truly honored to be recognized as the New Member of the Year by the Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Cape Cod (HBRACC) at their 2025 Annual Meeting in December. This award means a lot because it comes from an organization that’s made a meaningful effort to dial up their advocacy for common-sense policies, workforce development, housing attainability, and the ability to build quality homes on Cape Cod. Proud to be a longtime member of HBRACC, I’ve only been involved in a leadership position for a short time, but jumping into my role with both feet on committees and local energy code discussions has shown me how much collective impact we can have when builders, remodelers, associates, and leaders work together." - Tim O’Neill, Co-Founder, O'Neill Bowes Building Company (photo credit: Salty Broad Studios)
The Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Cape Cod (HBRACC) held its 2025 Annual Meeting on December 16, 2025, marking a year of organizational progress, strong industry advocacy, and exceptional member leadership. Along with bringing members together to celebrate and connect, the evening included the installation of Todd Duffany of M. Duffany Builders as President for 2026 and the presentation of annual awards recognizing outstanding contributions to the Cape Cod building community.
Outgoing President April Ducott of Monomoy Home reflected on a transformative two-year term defined by strengthened governance, expanded partnerships, and a renewed focus on housing attainability and workforce development. Under Ducott’s leadership, HBRACC modernized its bylaws, revitalized committees, improved internal operations, and expanded engagement across the region.
During the meeting, HBRACC highlighted key accomplishments from the past year, including a record-breaking 2025 Building & Remodeling Industry of Cape Cod (BRICC) Awards program with nearly 200 submissions across 38 categories, helping fund the launch of Skilled Purpose, a second-chance carpentry training program funded through the Nail Bangers’ Golf Tournament, and the association’s most successful Residential Construction Career Day to date. Members were also recognized for major advocacy victories.
A special highlight of the evening was the presentation of the inaugural Cornerstone Award to outgoing President April Ducott, recognizing her extraordinary leadership and hands-on service during a pivotal period for the Association, including guiding operations during an executive transition and leading major governance reforms.
Following the installation of the 2026 Board of Directors, Todd Duffany was formally sworn in as President. In his remarks, Duffany emphasized continued advocacy, member engagement, and common-sense policy to support housing production across Cape Cod.
“Our industry’s voice matters,” Duffany said. “As President, I am committed to championing smart growth, reasonable energy policy, infrastructure investment, and the ability to build quality housing for our communities.”
